In Camera Industries produces sturdy, functional, industry-specific tools for the
in-camera photographer. Born from a need for durability and accessibility, each product is created
for the most professional of image makers, with the ease of use for the novice as well.
Established in 2011 by photographer Jody Ake.
Unlike standard wood plate holders, each plate holder design is more precise, lighter weight, and far less
vulnerable to staining and decomposition. These holders can be used for wet collodion (ambrotype/tintypes),
paper negatives, dry plate, daguerreotypes, and any in camera process. In addition, the holders are crafted to
fit all standard cameras, barring the need to retrofit, trim or alter the camera, plate or holder.

The 8 x 10" plate holder takes a full sheet of 8 x 10" glass or tin; the 11 x 14" plate holder takes a full sheet of 11 x 14" glass or tin.
Both are made of high-composite ABS plastic with stainless steel and aluminum hardware. Each back is crafted to remove
easily with tension bars and has an engineered design which eliminates light leaks. Unlike standard wood plate
holders, this design is more precise, lighter weight, and far less vulnerable to staining and decomposition.

The 4 x 5" plate holder takes any standard sheet of 4 x 5" glass or tin, and is made of
high-composite ABS plastic with stainless steel and aluminum hardware. Each back is hinged to open
easily and conveniently, and has an engineered design which eliminates light leaks.
